How we rank eSIMs

We evaluate eSIM providers based on five core criteria: price per gigabyte, network coverage/reliability, availability of unlimited data plans, ease of activation, and the quality of customer support. Our rankings prioritize providers that offer transparent pricing, reliable local carrier partnerships (such as Globe or Smart in the Philippines), and real human assistance when technical issues arise.

FAQ

Can I make local phone calls with these eSIMs?

Most travel eSIMs (including Airalo, Saily, and HOLASIM) are data-only profiles. They do not come with a local Philippine phone number. However, you can easily make calls using internet-based apps like WhatsApp, Telegram, Messenger, or FaceTime.

What local networks do these eSIMs use in the Philippines?

Most top-tier eSIM providers partner with the country's primary networks, Globe Telecom and Smart Communications, ensuring you get the best 4G LTE and 5G coverage available depending on your location.

Do I need to remove my physical SIM card?

No. One of the best features of eSIM technology is that you can keep your physical home SIM card active for receiving important SMS verification codes while using your eSIM exclusively for cellular data.
