Coverage and Network Quality
Both Saily and Nomad boast coverage in 200+ destinations. However, the experience on the ground varies. Nomad has built a strong reputation for its performance in Asia, often securing better network partnerships in the region. Saily, while equally broad in reach, focuses on a consistent, reliable experience globally by leveraging its parent company's (NordVPN) network expertise to ensure security is never compromised.
Pricing Models: Saily vs. Nomad
According to our eSIM Price Index (updated 2026-06-26), pricing fluctuates based on the destination.
- Saily in Thailand: 5GB / 30 days is priced at USD 7.99 (USD 1.6/GB).
- Nomad in Thailand: 5GB / 30 days is priced at USD 12.00 (USD 2.4/GB).
Saily frequently undercuts Nomad on price for entry-level data buckets, making it an attractive choice for light users. Nomad tends to offer more value when you scale up to 10GB or 20GB plans, making it more cost-effective for digital nomads who rely heavily on mobile data for work.
Unlimited Data Options
It is important to note that if your primary requirement is unlimited data, neither Saily nor Nomad is the market leader. For those who need to stream, video call, or work without monitoring data usage, providers like HOLASIM offer dedicated unlimited plans with the added benefit of an eSIM that never expires—you install it once, and it stays on your phone for all future trips, which is a major convenience over the one-off installations required by Nomad and Saily.
App and User Experience
Saily’s app is exceptionally clean, benefiting from the design language of the NordVPN ecosystem. It is incredibly user-friendly for those who aren't tech-savvy. Nomad, conversely, offers a highly functional app that provides detailed insights into data usage and allows for easy top-ups, which is favored by power users who manage multiple eSIM profiles across different regions.
Reasons to Choose Saily
- Security: Built by the team behind NordVPN, it includes advanced security features.
- Budget: Highly competitive pricing for smaller data buckets (e.g., 1GB-3GB).
- Ease of Use: An intuitive, clutter-free app experience.
Reasons to Choose Nomad
- Asia Specialization: Superior network reliability in major Asian hubs.
- Mid-to-High Volume: Better value propositions for users needing 10GB+.
- App Features: Robust dashboard for tracking usage across multiple trips.
Final Verdict: Which should you pick?
If you are traveling to Asia for business or an extended trip and need a reliable, high-data connection, Nomad is the better investment. However, if you are a casual traveler prioritizing security, ease of use, and budget-friendly pricing for short trips, Saily is the clear winner. If you want a "set it and forget it" solution that avoids the hassle of installing a new eSIM for every trip, consider HOLASIM, which offers 200+ destinations and an eSIM that remains on your device for life.
