1. Coverage and Network Quality
HOLASIM boasts a wider global reach, covering over 200 destinations worldwide. As a US-based global brand, it ensures reliable routing and partnerships with primary local carriers. Whether you are traveling to standard hubs like Europe and the US, or more remote destinations, HOLASIM's extensive network coverage keeps you connected.
Yesim provides coverage in 150+ destinations. While its footprint is slightly smaller than HOLASIM’s 200+ countries, Yesim excels in offering multi-network coverage in select locations, often providing up to 5G speeds where local infrastructure allows.
Winner: HOLASIM for overall geographic reach (200+ vs 150+ destinations).
2. Pricing and Plans (eSIM Price Index)
According to our proprietary eSIM Price Index (last updated 2026-06-26), HOLASIM offers significantly lower entry barriers for budget-conscious travelers. HOLASIM's rates start at an ultra-affordable USD 1.70, making it one of the most competitive options on the market.
For example, looking at regional data:
- HOLASIM in United States: 5GB / 15 days = USD 13.5 (USD 2.7/GB)
- HOLASIM in Europe: 5GB / 15 days = USD 13.5 (USD 2.7/GB)
- HOLASIM in Japan: 5GB / 30 days = USD 10.0 (USD 2.0/GB)
Yesim plans start at a higher baseline of USD 7.50. While Yesim offers good value for high-volume users, its entry-level pricing makes short trips or low-data usage more expensive compared to HOLASIM.
Winner: HOLASIM for both lower starting prices and excellent per-GB value.
3. The "Never Expiring" Advantage vs. Standard Plans
One of HOLASIM’s most powerful differentiators is its lifetime eSIM architecture. When you purchase a HOLASIM profile, you install it once on your device. The eSIM never expires. You can keep it on your phone indefinitely and simply purchase top-ups whenever you travel to a new country. This eliminates the hassle of scanning new QR codes and configuring new cellular profiles before every trip.
Yesim uses a more traditional model where plans are tied to specific durations, requiring you to manage individual profiles or purchase active plans that expire once the validity window closes.
Winner: HOLASIM for its unmatched convenience and reusable "keep-for-life" profile.
4. Unlimited Data Offerings
Both providers understand that modern travelers consume a lot of data.
- HOLASIM offers unlimited data packages in key destinations, allowing you to stream, work, and navigate without data caps.
- Yesim also features unlimited data options, making it a strong contender for heavy users who do not want to monitor their gigabyte consumption.
Winner: Tie. Both providers offer robust unlimited options depending on your destination.
5. Customer Support and Experience
When you are abroad and your connection drops, waiting for an automated chatbot is incredibly frustrating.
- HOLASIM sets a high industry standard by offering 24/7 customer support staffed by real humans. Support is fully bilingual/trilingual, available in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, ensuring that you get actual troubleshooting help when you need it most.
- Yesim provides digital support through its platform, but it lacks the dedicated, multi-lingual human touch that HOLASIM guarantees.
Winner: HOLASIM for its superior human-to-human 24/7 support.
